“From The Vault” diverges from our previous Asleep By Dawn compilations in that we wanted to take this rare opportunity to focus on the past. The oldest track is 37 years old while the most recent is from 2011. Some of these songs burned up dancefloors and indie charts around the world while others achieved regional success. Several songs were originally on major labels; one comes from a self-released demo. It's time these tracks received a fresh listen by club DJs and music fans alike.

We also made a conscious effort to shine a light on acts we hadn't previously introduced you to. Only one band on this compilation has been on a previous Asleep By Dawn release. In some cases, the bands have vanished (like Asleep By Dawn Magazine) or the members have moved on to new projects. Others are still going strong. If you like a track, we urge you to support the artist by also -buying- their music instead of just streaming it.

Like all of our compilations, we've aimed for a balance of styles and ordered the tracks with a certain rhythm in mind. The first time through, we recommend listening to the songs in order. Some of these tracks are no longer digitally available (or have never been sold digitally). It is our hope that our compilation helps preserve this material for future generations. We hope you enjoy our loving tribute to songs that have kept us dancing for several decades.

part 2: While Ive got the FLACS and streamed on here, I actually havent listened to the vinyls....because this was the first Ive bought in 20+ years. I dont even have a record player but it was all just so beautiful..now Im about to spend $300 for a turntable alone. Now....all of that said...Dolby Atmos remix when?
